Marilyn Stoner NIGHTLIGHT TRAINING: Using Neurofeedback with the Dying NIGHTLIGHT TRAINING: Using Neurofeedback with the Dying (SKU: AG-P-100)
Futurehealth Plenary Talk by Thomas Brod Neurofeedback is a valuable treatment adjunct for patients with catastophic and terminal illness. Within a soothing and contructive environment, neurofeedback is well-suited for dealing with pain and fear. the largest hurdle to it's more wide-spread use is therapist comfort with the dying individual.

Futurehealth Plenary Talk by Thomas Brod We will consider cases of dramatic recovery with NeuroCare Pro and BrainPaint biofeedback to illustrate the general phenomenon of patient recovery when it appears on the surface that "nothing is happening." To go deeper, we will look at the "scientific" creation-myth of brain and self-regulation training.

Tom Collura Real-time synchronous gamma training made easy. Real-time synchronous gamma training made easy. (SKU: AG-P-119)
Futurehealth WinterBrain 20 minute plenary presentation by Tom Collura. Gamma waves have been shown to reveal a cohesive, organized state of mind that includes binding of many perceptions into a unified whole. Richard Davidson reported seeing these rhythms in advanced meditators. This presentation will show results and describe methods for the real-time training of fast bihemispherically synchronized 40 Hz ("gamma") activity, through real-time detection and targeting of brief synchronous bursts. This method can capture single brief (e.g. less than ? second) bursts of gamma that occur very rarely (e.g. once per minute), and can clearly discern and feed back individual bursts, for training purposes. This will be related to the cortical dynamics that underly the gamma rhythm, and discussed in the context of gamma training.

Sue Othmer Reward And Inhibit Strategies: Recent Advances in Theory and Practice Reward And Inhibit Strategies: Recent Advances in Theory and Practice (SKU: AG-W4-064)
Futurehealth WinterBrain 4 hour workshop by Sue Othmer. This workshop will cover (1) the very different roles of rewards and inhibits, and how they relate to normal regulatory rhythms versus abnormal disregulated EEG activity; (2) different clinical options in combining inhibit bands and optimizing reward frequencies with one and two-channel EEG training; (3) the role of bipolar training in desynchronizing EEG activity and stabilizing brain function; and (4) the integration of interhemispheric with single-hemisphere training.
