Getting Started with MiniQ and full QEEG brain mapping Getting Started with MiniQ and full QEEG brain mapping (SKU: AH-W2-398)
Futurehealth Workshop by John Demos A number of clinians are considering adding either MiniQ and QEEG topographical brain mapping to their practice. One demonstration and several examples will illustrate how protocols can be developed from normative data. This short presentation is suitable for those new to topographical brain mapping methodology.

Head and Heart: Combined Modalities: The LENS neurofeedback and HRV training Head and Heart: Combined Modalities: The LENS neurofeedback and HRV training (SKU: AH-W4-382)
Futurehealth Workshop by Steve Larsen Since 2002, I have used Heart Rate Variability training along with the LENS neurofeedback, to help patients with anxiety and concentraition problems especially; although the protocol seems also to help with acute chronic pain, insomnia and other problems of dysregulation. The primary modality of the LENS, as a passive form of neurofeedback, needed some kind of "homework" approach, in this case involving the HeartMath protocol to train diaphragmatic breathing along with positive visualization and thinking. The combination helps people both function better neurologically, and have a useful form of self-management when things get tough. Dr. Larsen will accompany this powerpoint presentation along with experiential demonstrations in achieving coherence in HRV and neurological balance.

Healing Mysticism: Deep Psychotherapy and Unitive States Healing Mysticism: Deep Psychotherapy and Unitive States (SKU: AH-W2-307)
Futurehealth WinterBrain 2 hour workshop by Thomas Brod Research into psychotherapy with psychedelic drugs was in its infancy when federally supported research into such drugs was essentially halted in 1965. Competing models of ?psychedelic vs psycholytic? therapy were left with unfilled promise, and the dominant model of psychoanalysis at the time, ego psychology, had little to contribute to the discourse. In this workshop, the present-day work of Toronto-based Professor of Religious Studies and psychoanalyst Dan Merkur will be the springboard for a new consideration of the potential therapeutic application of drug-enduced mystical states.

Healing Mysticism: New Approaches to the Study of Psychedelic Drugs Healing Mysticism: New Approaches to the Study of Psychedelic Drugs (SKU: AH-P-294)
Futurehealth Plenary Talk by Thomas Brod With the recent fMRI study of mystical states in nuns (Beauregard) and ground-breaking study of positive effects of psilocybin-induced mystical states (Griffiths), consciousness study has taken a new turn into the empiric, Although psilocybin has been used for centuries for religious purposes, relatively little is known scientifically about its acute and persisting effects. In response to the epidemic of hallucinogen abuse that occurred in the 1960s, clinical research largely ceased and has resumed only recently. This presentation will review present-day research into mystical states and end-of-life experiences with psilocybin and introduce leading-edge psychoanalytic theory of unitive states.

HEART and BREATH, an Integration of Research and Techniques HEART and BREATH, an Integration of Research and Techniques (SKU: AG-W2-095)
Futurehealth Workshop by Bob Whitehouse Optimal Heart Rate patterns and efficient breathing are gateways to better brain function. This seminar will be be my integration of the works of Lehrer, Gevirtz, HeartMath, Cram, and Litchfield with a special emphasis on live monitoring and techniques for attaining 4 keys to health and optimal performance: healthy heart rate variability,Resonant Frequency heart waves, and mechanically and chemically efficient breathing. Surprising information will give new understandings of the emotional signatures in heart rate, the role of the heart in intuition, and what most of us have been doing wrong in teaching breathing.

How Can Non-localized Neurofeedback Training Work Without Being \ How Can Non-localized Neurofeedback Training Work Without Being "Global"? (SKU: AG-P-191)
Futurehealth WinterBrain 20 minute presentation by Valdeane Brown. Elegant training relies on the intrinsic self-organizing nature of both consciousness and the central nervous system. This presentation will explore these ideas and describe the overall framework of awakening bodhicitta and non-duality based psychology within which neurofeedback training finds a real foundation.
